How much and how often does Hoshi eat?
I've always loved my friend's gecko, but he's huge and not super friendly.
Currently we are doing a single big feed a week (he is an adult though and juveniles need to eat more frequently). He eats dubia roaches from our colony. Usually 8-10 per feeding I think. It depends on how big they are though.

Hoshi is not at all afraid of us but he is not “chill” like some people’s leos that will just sit on their hand for long periods of time. He will happily climb around on you though which my nephews think is hilarious. His favorite thing though is when I build little sort of mazes on our sofa. I scatter a bunch of cushions, paper towel roles, stuffed toys etc. on the couch and then cover it with a blanket to block the light. He loves exploring what I make.

Never mind. Gecko's are no longer cute smiley babies.

There is nothing that little guy loves more than a good ‘splore. In fact that is one of the reasons he is always on the slim side. Little dude would rather play than eat

Hoshi is the basic “wild type” morph (ie he basically looks the same as wild geckos). They have become somewhat uncommon since so many people prefer the newer, breeder-developed morphs. I think he is gorgeous though. :love We bought him online from geckoboa and he arrived via mail. He was from the breeder’s “pet only” section.

Tad is good! She is finally over the Spring grumpies. Although she continues to be involved in a totally one sided feud with my rabbit.
He sounds amazing!! And they have some really nice geckos there!

And Tad is hilarious 🤣🥰

Just curious which one do you prefer? I know it’s probably like picking a favorite kid but if you can 🤣🙈

My friend just wanted his to sit with him occasionally, but no, the little turd hides and runs away.
I love their smiles and chubby bodies tho, which is why I was considering one.
