AwwwHe hides when he’s shy.
He sounds amazing! I’m sorry you lost himJust lost my 11 year-old California king snake out of nowhere... he had pooped right before he was due for his next feeding which was weird because he had always been super regular and only went after feedings (and always in the dang water dish), he never showed any other sign of being sick that I could tell. I picked him up from a seller for my friend as a tiny little baby and ended up taking him on as an adult for what was supposed to be temporarily. They never did take him back and I was glad, because he was my buddy and we had lots of good years together. My friend had never even held him because he was afraid of him, but he was such a good boy and never bit me, not even when he was hungry. I highly recommend this type of snake to first time snake owners... mine was very docile and knew the difference between being removed from the tank for feeding vs being held/played with and I'm definitely not some fancy reptile trainer. We had a couple of heat lamp scares over the years where the bulb or lamp burned out while I was at work and it was the middle of winter. Both times he did just fine after warming back up. They are a more active snake and don't want to just curl up around your neck like a python, they like to explore and move around so that's something to keep in mind, but a really good first time snake and I'm gonna miss him.
I want a snake so badand that sale is such a good deal
