I think that if it takes too long to load it might do something like that. Is your internet connection good?

There was an update recently and a few people have been having similar issues so might not necessarily be your computer or internet. I think there was a thread on it but I’d have to find it. Problem seems to be pretty inconsistent though like sometimes it happens, sometimes it doesn’t, and I think there’s been issues on other sites too so might be the software not BYC specific but not sure. Anyway, what works for some is to edit the post and try adding them again and then usually it works.

Looks pretty young, yes? Colors and patterns change as the they mature so it may be hard to figure out morph at this age (although he does not look like a wild type). Super duper cute though!

The subject of taming came up on another thread recently. Here are my thoughts fwiw.

Yes, he's around 5 months. I thought he looked kind of like the tangerine morph when they're babies, or like a very light colored normal. I guess we can't tell yet, it's fun to guess what he'll look like, though!
I always feed and try to handle him around 7:00 PM. If I try to touch him when he comes out of the hide then he gets defensive and runs back in. He'll eat all his food from my hand without acting scared. If I move his hide it really stresses him out and he'll give the sassy tail and retreat to a different one. If I put my hand in there he's a little suspicious at first, checks it for food and then ignores it. He's a tricky little guy... or maybe I'm just too unconfident still! Look at that cute little face! It's so adorable how he comes out to see us when we go past his tank... unless it's day time, then I'm a little worried! He seems pretty tame, but currently does not tolerate being touched.

I think maybe he just needs more time with it? Like even if you could just practice for 5 minutes a few times a day. Or even if he only tolerates it for 30 seconds at first and then let him down again when he’s calm? I think he would get more used to it if you did it more but of course it’s hard because he doesn’t like it. But I’d keep trying even if it’s just for very short times at first

Yes. I'm just scared that if I force him than he won't associate me with all good things. But it would also eventually get him used to it I guess.

That’s understandable! But I think he’ll learn you’re not scary if you do it enough but idk. Was he scared of your hand at first? Same kind of thing I would think. Or you could just wait and keep being patient and that might be best

Haha, that's my exact thinking. I can't decide whether to just be patient or get him used to it. I'll try being patient and if that doesn't work, I'll just scoop him.

Okay, I'm not going to do the 'patient' way. He literally just ignores my hand. I picked him up (with removing his hot hide), it did stress him out, but the only stressful part is just catching him! I am using a top opening fish tank for him so it makes it incredibly awkward for both of us. Once he's one my hand he'll just walk around slowly. When I put him back down he'll speed walk off my hand. I gave him another mealworm right after (which he took from my hand), so I don't think it stressed him too much.

Yeah, I’m sure it’s just a little strange being picked up (predators do that) but then he realizes it’s you.
