Reptile Lover’s Thread!!

Oh for sure! When I had mine, I ordered the gecko first and then I was like “I need a snake too…” I would have ordered even more snacks and geckos too but I never got the chance. When I move out though, I’m 100% getting reptiles again lol I feel like reptile math is worse than chicken math though because they’re so much more expensive yet also so much more gorgeous that you 100% need them all then again building more coops for chickens is quite expensive and space consuming and reptiles I feel like, generally, are somewhat easier.

I build all my housing for my animals... the snakes are easier for sure, and definitely cost less to build. So far I'm over $300 in for just my chicken run, the coop will run $700-900 and hold 10 chickens. One snake rack holds 6-7 adults, my hatching rack is 42 and cost about $150-200 before the thermostat.

Yeah, I think both our chicken coops were probably close to $1000 each too. One was “supposed” to be $500 according to the article but somehow we went way over lol that rack sounds awesome!

Currently 4 snake racks and I need to build another. Only part of the hatchling rack is used right now...I usually build more than I need...then fill it later.
My original dream snake clutch is due to hatch next week and there's 9 eggs

I didn't see this yes, we do sell them. We're not quite ready to do shipping yet, but we went to our first show last month.

Probably. We're just waiting until we get a second car. I've heard so many horror stories about problems during shipping, mostly with delays. I want to make it a policy to only ship out on Tuesdays. That way if there's any delays animals should still arrive before the weekend.

That makes sense! And that’s a good policy! Are you anywhere near Myrtle Beach? I’ve been there before and LOVED it so maybe sometime I could come back and save the shipping, if you are. this is all way in the future though of course cause I gotta save and move out first which could take a while but yeah. Hopefully you’ll still be breeding by then.

I like reptiles but don't own any. Too many animals so unfortunately don't have the time, money, or space One of my family members that I live with does have a Bearded dragon though so maybe I'll get a pic of him later.
I adore tortoises and hate that I can't keep one, that's a reptile I would make time for
