Reptile Photos! **DUW**

Woooo! I'm FINALLY going to a reptile show this weekend. I haven't been to one in years. I'm hoping to get a crested gecko, but if I'm able to find any duprasi I think I'll get one of those instead. I've held off on getting any supplies since I think I'll stop on the way home depending on what I decide to get. I'm so excited!

Cool! Most shows also sell supplies at competitive prices so that'll be nice too. Be sure to post a pic of whatever it is you bring home!

That's what I was thinking too. I stopped at petsmart yesterday just to browse supplies and they are so darned expensive! I was almost going to pick up a heat pad, but I figured I would wait and see. I don't want to spend $22 and then not need one. I also wanted to buy a lid because I will need one no matter what I get and they were out of almost all of them! They also only had clips for 55 gallon tanks.

They did have adorable leopard geckos on sale though. The adults were actually pretty colorful for pet store geckos and they had an adorable juvenile too for $17. That was tempting, but I don't really want a pet store animal if I can get one from a breeder and I also would rather a lizard that doesn't need live food. (I know crickets would get me in trouble! LOL)

Do you guys ever see rodents at the reptile shows you go to? The one in Florida I went too had tons of rodents so I'm hoping this one does too. I haven't had much luck finding a duprasi breeder, but I'm hoping I might luck out and find one there.

I will definitely have lots of pictures if I bring home something!

Well I currently have an empty tank sitting on my desk, so even if they don't have durpasi, I'm sure the tank won't remain empty! LOL I'm sure I'll be coming home with something. I just hope it won't cost more than $50!

Chickerdoodle13, if you go with a crested gecko, they are about the easiest lizards of all to keep. Taller tank is better than longer & they don't require any heat pad or special lighting. You can even use paper towels for substrate and you can feed them http://www.crestedgeckosandsupplies.com/crestedgeckofood?gclid=CKvJq7OdsZ8CFRUhDQoddgpVhQ

Only
downfall is they are nocturnal. I bought my wife ours. Its skin is literally softer than a baby's butt.

One more thing, you can get one, a nice, attractive one, for around $40.00.

Jumping in here with my Blue Diamond Green Iguana

This is Diego...I bought him from someone off of craigs list for $70.00 and he was in a 2.4ft cage and he is almost 4 ft long! My husband built a 6x6 cage for him with tree branches so he has more room. He's potty trained to go in the litter box with water in it. He gives kisses if you hold out your fist. I'm the only one that holds him and I'm only 5ft2...lol...so here are two pics of him.

Thanks Madison, I love all my snakes. I was going to get a picture of the Ball Python but it was a bit cranky tonight, getting ready to shed and didnt appreciate my 12 year old getting into its cage.
Cassi ( the 12yo) can not live in a house with out snakes.
If we dont have one at any given time she goes out and finds herself wild ones, she has dragged in Pine Snakes, Garden Snakes, I am rather glad we live in an area where Venomius snakes are extremely rare finds. I just know one day she would be bringing one in.

What a stunning Iggy,
I have to get a picture of my Oldest Daughters Red Iguana.
I miss having the Iguana Rescue, I loved them all even the one that left behind a 16 inch gash in my arm. 5 lbs of PO'd Iguana is not something that should be handled even by experts lol.
