Sorry it's been a month since it ate. I was told it could be up to this long from the upset of moving it and such. I thought perhaps it was about to shed as it's eyes were looking cloudy. The snake is active still so I'm hoping this means it's finally hungry. We have aspen bedding on the bottom of the tank. It is able to curl up in it's water bowl when it wants to and has plenty of places to hide. We were told not to feed it in it's tank, but to put it in a brown paper bag with the pinkie (live as that is what is was used to) I plan on changing that once we finally get it to eat. I have even tried putting in in a smaller critter keeper tank with the pinkie. So far no luck.

Cool! We've got what we have been told is an Albino California King. Some kids threw a backpack over the fence at my BF's old apartment building and out slithers this guy (now named Mr. Slithers):

He was going to re-home him since he had no experience with snakes before but the woman from the herpetological society came over and gave him some info so he decided to keep it. We have since moved in together and he resides in our living room where he keeps a watchful eye on us... He's been extra funny since we got our four little chicks. He can definitely smell them when I bring them out to play. You can tell he would love a tasty little chick treat but I took a lot of care to make my brooder cat and snake proof just in case he escapes somehow

nice pics!
I wish our girl (4ft Rosy Boa) would eat... she seems fat & sassy but hasn't eaten since she came here from my mom's. She killed & ignored the first mouse a month ago... we took it after a day or so, when it got stinky, and offered another one a week ago & today but took it out when she ignored it for 10 minutes.
How do you know when they _need_ to eat?
Thanks in advance
