Reptile Photos! **DUW**

OOOH! Very beautiful! ALL OF THEM! Especially the cornies~ I keep ball pythons and was considering cornies but I'm too in love with balls/royals to go for any other snakes. I have a male and female currently waiting to get big enough to breed. The male /is/ I've had him for I think three or so years now? I have the papers here somewhere... the female is HET for hypo, I got her from a breeder and despite not being something fancy she IS gorgeous. More yellow than my boy and with iridescent marks rather than his flat blushed black.

My boy Raven, he's a cuddle monster

His girl Angel, yes she's always that iridescent - it's not because of the gloves at all.

Very cool iridescence on that ball python, never seen one like that, how exciting!
How's THIS for iridescence?

That's Bling Bling, my Sunbeam snake possibly soon to be JORDANS sunbeam snake

If his mom lets him and we figure out how the heck to get it to him! And if he can pay $100.

Not a huge fan of reptiles... they're so patient it's creepy... but I love the licking your eyeball pic.
Hated when my mom did that when we were kids (her licking OUR eye nastiest thing EVER) but on a lizard it's cute.

And I love the eyebrows ... I picture ol' Groucho waggling them.

Chester, Sue and Maz ... those big ol' eyes... I can almost imagine them doing the 'puppy face' for a treat... almost.

Irwin, can't do it. Pink eyes just flip me out whether it's on a rat, a cavy, a bunny, whatever... *shivers*

They do all look very healthy though, and you sound like a very happy parent so that's the important bits anyways right!

Kanchii - You're right, Angel hasn't anything on that. Eeesh so pretty and glowy like a pool of oil that~ Honestly with her I just thought it was a shed thing but had her over a year now and it's still like raven feathers XP Good luck selling Bling bling at least

Thanks, everyone!

Thank you, Rin. Your snakes are gorgeous! I want a BP, but my mom is against it. Im working on that.

Psh, Madison... You're such a show off! LOL. Ahhh, I'm talkin to her, we'll see!

LOL, PM. If my mom licked my eyeball I'd probably knock her out. They can get anything from me, snakes are my weakness, haha. That's so funny you mention that. I just got some new mice tonight and some have pink eyes and they freak my best friend out. Thank you very much for the compliments!

Mention to her they don't get THAT big and they're supposedly the sweetest snake you can get - if they bite you you can almost guarantee you were mishandling food and confused them or just flat out stress them too much (in such a case they generally will barely scratch you. i have yet to hear of a bally properly latching onto someone and needing to be pried off or anything). They also tolerate handling very well. Raven actually enjoys it enough he begs to be let out. Thought it was something wrong with his environment at first but nope, he just likes out to explore and feel new textures (has a thing for bracelets too). I used to take him out places(like friends houses) but he'd get really frisky sometimes and try to mate with peoples arms XD Don't ask. XD He still does that from time to time but only to my arm - *sigh* boys >> He'd defo like angel once they met XD Her liking him though... that's a whole other kettle of fish. She's way more timid than him and I don't really blame her. She was shipped to me in a box from a breeder. She was one stressed out baby and very snappy at handling so I gave her her space - now shes a mellow adult who i can read like a book. I can SEE when shes getting too stressed from too much handling but all in all she's fine with it now.

Sorry for nattering, I just love my snakes so much. I'd look into breeding them soon but I'm waiting for her to get a bit bigger even if shes already in the recommended area. There's just so much that could go wrong and it'd break my heart if she died. She's even named after my BF even though he face palmed when he heard I got another one - especially one so expensive. She's Het for hypo(carries the gene but does not show it) so cost me about $300 for the /baby/. She's probably worth about $500 now that shes breeding size. Possibly.

Great pics! My 14 year old DS wants to get a snake. Not sure I'm ready for snakes here. 12 year old DS just got a Leopard Gecko for Christmas. She is so cute and she just shed yesterday, so I've got to get a new pic.

LOL, Rin. I've mentioned it all to her. She saw some at the pet store and saw that they were fat and that turned her off of them. She doesnt like thick snakes, they freak her out. I wasnt aware BPs had a hypo gene. I have 3 corns that are het hypo, along with other things such as Lavender, but didnt know BPs came in hypo too.

Thank you very much, chickensioux!

Thanks, Froggie! You should let him get one if you believe he's responsible enough for one. They are amazing pets, and pretty simple to care for. My mother, the hater of all snakes, brags on how simple their care is all the time. Corns are definitely a great beginner snake as well. They dont get too large and are generally very gentle, easy to handle snakes. I can vouch for that. Chester was the first snake I ever owned and she's the most tame snake I've ever met. I'd love to see a photo of the Leo! For some reason, Leos and I just do not work. I always wind up getting bitten.
