Oh nice! For breeding more feeders? I always wanted to do that because I love playing with rodent genetics. Just look at some of the cool stuff I've produced at my pet store! Brindles, tans, bandeds, merles, satins...
Yup! I found a great price on some, so I had to get them. Unfortunately, I dont have those awesome colors! *buggy eyes* Did you say merles? Wanna be an amazing friend and bring me some to the Stockton Show?

LOL Sure I can if you repay me $3 each that I'd normally sell them for! My bosses otherwise would be pissy seeing me smuggle mice out to give away.
Although I'm not sure if I'll have any babies ready by then... Actually!!! I think I have one or two adult breeding age male merles! How would that be? I believe it works as a simple recessive, so you'd have to breed your females to him, then breed the babies back to him again to start producing them.
They're butts are currently beat the heck up though because the males have have been together and beating each other up, so their butts are all scabbed, but they'll heal once they're separated from the other boys.

Ba-da-da-da-dummmm..... $3 each probably wont kill me, LOL. Should I, or should I not?
I'll have to think on this and get back to you, cause Im breeding for feeders, not pretty mice.

The way I see it, if you gotta breed them, see them, and clean out their cage... They sure as heck better be nice to look at!
These pretty mice ARE my feeders at the store! Except I don't produce them fast enough, so our reptile dude gives us like 20 extra adults a week to sell for food and they're usually just PEW's and agoutis and stuff.

Very true! But between you and me... and everyone else on BYC
... Its easier to kill a white mouse!
I got some PEW's, agoutis and black this week. I'd love a couple merles just for the heck of it though. Got any pics of them? If you show me pics, I'll bite, Im sure.
The one in the very center of the pic is a golden merle!
It's a bit hard to see the splotching on her. I'll try getting pics of a couple of my other merles soon, maybe I'll remember to bring my camera to work tomorrow lol. I have a real cool female thats like a light grey back ground with dark agouti spots! She's pretty
