Sorry to hear about your joey. We have some other users using it as baby incubators for small mammals as well and they say it works great.

As for the additional shelf we will be sure to start including them in the units soon. As for that gap in the front i will have to take a look and see what we can do. Maybe different shelves all together or just a small clip on attachment. Hmmmm i will figure it out.
For the temperature difference we are getting ready to introduce a forced are unit that has a small fan that runs continuously inside the unit and should eliminate the temp gradient.

We are also working on a new and slightly larger case so we can distinguish ourselves from these other knockoffs. We sure are bummed that the wal-marts of the pet trade keep trying to put us out of business but we will just roll with the punches and show that we are innovators and not imitators. Competition is what fuels progress and we will make it happen.

We sell them also. We have a standing buyer who buys all of our clean legged standard size roosters once they get about 6 mos old.We actually raise roosters strictly for sale. Same with our Quail roos, the excess is sold off or processed. However we generally don't get into processing. My bantams are generally kept till at least 6-8mos of age for sorting and the extras are just sold off or sent to auction.

Bad news...one live chick. Had poor fertility and eggs were shipped. I had 3 develop into lockdown. Out of 24 eggs only 10 developed at all. Not sure what judgement to make. Im going to try again. The one chick that hatched is doing great though.

Ah I'm sorry to hear you only got one chick... What do you think went wrong?
I have a total of 30 eggs in now..!

Kinda nervous. Started candling a few, and some have veins, but some only have a shadow... not really sure if they will make it. The eggs on the bottom of the bator do concern me with the big temp difference.

I just bought a Reptipro 5000 and am testing it with 16 eggs (one auto turner).

I would be very interested in a new version, too.

Also bought one of the knock offs, still in the box. Thinking on returning it. We'll see.
