Actually, a Classical Liberal is more accurately a libertarian, though to a point, the two terms used to be interchangeable. As Amigo pointed out, Establishment Republicans have corrupted the term conservative. Establishment Democrats have corrupted the term liberal, and it just gets screwier from there.
How about we call ourselves Jeffersonians? As in, Thomas Jefferson. "The other guys," neoconservatives, liberals, and other Establishment types are Hamiltonians, or in extreme instances, Marxists.
Speaking of which, Ron Paul 2012. The man could be the next Jefferson. If he won, this would be THE most important election since 1800. A business-as-usual election would basically seal our doom, and I now include Herman Cain as only a little better than business-as-usual. Bachmann might be OK, I need to find out her stance on the Afghan War.

I also DO like Ron Paul. But face it, sadly, he's not going to win. And it makes me very sad that he doesn't have a chance. He is one of the most sincere honest guys running. Which brings me to my choice of Herman Cain. We need to choose someone who can defeat Obama, and I think, feel, Herman Cain can do it. He will bring over some of the black vote which no white person will. I'm not racist, I just hate Obama's policies. He is taking this country in the WRONG direction. When is he going to start taking responsibility for his mess, instead of blaming Bush, the tsunami, the hurricane, the Arab Spring, etc. It's always everyone else's fault, never his.
