Hi, I joined this site today. I’ve had my two backyard chickens for 3+ years and I want to add two or three more chickens. Based on these pics, can anyone please recommend breeds and age of chickens to buy? I have a relatively large and adequately shaded urban backyard of about 7,000 sq feet in Houston, and a large coop but I let the chickens roam 24/7 and they use the coop when they want. Thanks!

The hens that you currently have look like ISA Browns. I have 3, and they get along just fine with my Dixie Rainbows, Australorps, Easter Eggers and Amberlinks. The EE's and Amberlinks are smaller and younger (18 weeks), but they are very sweet to them. It probably doesn't matter what breed you get. And age shouldn't be a problem as long as you take time to introduce them properly. Good luck!! :thumbsup
