I wouldn't bath him.If it turns out to be no big deal, should I introduce him to my pullets tomorrow? Or wait a while?
It's been a few days and nobody's claimed him. I've heard that some kinds of soap is a natural insect repellent- reason for bath. I may keep him. Unsure right now. Won't introduce him until I'm sure.I wouldn't bath him.
Spots on comb looks like debris in the nooks/crannies of his comb.
If he's got lice/mites, then those need to be gone before he's introduced to other birds.
If you are not able to keep him, then I would not put him with the pullets. You will be disrupting your pullets for no good reason. Keep him quarantined and practice biosecurity.
Hopefully you find his original home or a new home soon.
He may have been dumped, but asking around the neighborhood to see if someone is missing him is a very good idea.
The bath would be to wash off the dead bugs. He’s not quite understanding the dust bath.Do you see bugs crawling on him?
You have already treated him with spray, that should be sufficient shouldn't it?
