Rescue Duck[lings] need some advice

But ducks are so sweet and fun. Look at little Barbra Lewis in my avatar. How can you not love that even with the poops.

Well, sure. That cute, adorable little duck baby is completely lovable poops and all. I remember telling somebody else that if it came to it, I could absolutely take care of ducklings, 2-4 anyway. I could deal with the poo and the mess because "Awwwwwww!" It's the part where they're full-grown ducks that can't be kept inside a house in a plastic bin that's beyond me - just as it was clearly beyond the folks who are giving them back to WannaBeHillBilly.

That heat lamp is way to low. I’m surprised they haven’t been burnt. I think they will be fine out there is there is a way to give them some heat source for a couple weeks? They are adorable. When are you picking them up?
Told them about the lamp and she raised it already. I think Tuesday or Wednesday i will pick them up. Cleaned out the house today, but still need to work on the little run.

I have ~5m (17') of welded wire fencing that i would like to use to create a little run for the Ducknagers. It is 2"x4" grid and 1m (3') tall. I could fence in a trapezoid area of ~3m² (32sqft) - bit small, but i can extend that later. Would a 2x4' fencing pose a sufficient separation? Or should i use the chicken-wire? - much, much, much more work…

Ducks are not chicks, so at 6 weeks old they are much larger and may not even need heat, just a warm dry place at night.
Those ducklings have not been outside so far and have always had that heat-lamp on, so they might be a bit weak. I'll put in a heat-pad and see if they use it.
