Rescued Pigeons | What breed?

Hey guys! I'm excited to be able to ask some pigeon questions here.

Back in February I adopted a rescued pigeon (to be a pet), who I named Snow Glimfeather, that was saved from a cat. He was an abandoned "racing" pigeon that never made it back home. With a feather DNA test I found Snow was a boy. So, I decided to adopt a female to keep him company. Alaska, a nearly identical white pigeon, arrived today and they are both so happy! It's adorable to see them bonding.

My first question is: Do you think they are the same breed? Alaska is smaller than Snow, has more pink around her eyes, has brighter colored feet, and a much sleeker build overall. There is an age difference between them (maybe as much as a year's difference).

They look like the same breed, with pigeons its so hard to tell. I would guess that they are the same though.

White racing homer maybe? My first thought was King pigeon but they are both smaller than those are supposed to be.

Yes, definitely homers.

Most likely a homer. Most likely not a racing prospect. In real world,, white pigeons do not win races often. They still may have good homing skills. Used for White Dove Release.
Definitely not a King pigeon... Those are huge compared to what you have.

I only kept white pigeons. Here are my last 3 that I had. I was not involved in racing,, but did do tosses.

I agree that they’re homers. There can be a pretty big difference between racing and dove release type homers. I have two assumed homers rescued from a 9/11 “release” that look totally different from my rescued racing homer.

Unfortunately, one of my birds (not sure which one yet but I'll try to find out) has some runny, super stinky droppings now. I cleaned the whole cage out this morning and it reeks from just one mess (I had to clean the whole door to the cage). They are now nesting, Alaska has laid two eggs (I'm replacing them with fake ones). Is it possible that the extra messiness is because of the time they're spending on the nest versus their regular schedule of eating and drinking?
Alaska is a big drinker. They have two food choices available: a traditional pigeon seed mix (because I'm sure this is what Alaska was used to eating and I've only had her for two weeks) and a variety blend I make from a finch/canary food and parakeet food that Snow has been eating (he's super picky and only likes tiny seeds).
Any other ideas or anything I should be doing for them? I do know that Alaska should be getting a calcium supplement now. And that they should have grit so I'm just asking about anything out of the ordinary.

I believe the smell is normal while they’re nesting, but the runniness and the drinking could be symptoms of something. Do you know if they were wormed or treated for coccidiosis before you got them?

I believe both were seen by a vet before I got them but were not wormed or treated for anything.
