"rescued' yet another one... (graphic pictures)

Praying its not Marek's ! If the farmer got his chickens from a hatchery isn't there hope she was vaccinated? Has she been wormed? Come on Hope get better.

Oh, this makes me feel sick! I just found Hope's thread yesterday and have been pouring over the pictures and posts since then! She's such a strong gal. I'll pray that she makes it through whatever's got her now. Are her eyes bright? Is she eating and drinking?

I dont know if she was vaccinated or not. No way to find out really. Her eyes are not bright like they should be. I did get some yogurt and applesauce down her last night. wouldnt take any mealworms at all.

I know it's a long shot, but I did pick up some St. John's wort today as I read on here it may be used as a homeopathic remedy for Mareks. I am skeptical, but it's worth a shot I guess. I am just devastated right now over it. Wish I could get out of work and go be with her right now.

Oh Fishnet...I'm sick about Hope. Not her....

Do you think getting some "Save-a-Chick" Or Merrick's blue ribbon electrolyte, probiotic would be worth a shot. Get her some trace minerals and electrolytes in her to help perk her up. She was ill a bit before her feathers came in too wasn't she? Yogurt, apple sauce, blueberries, oatmeal ACV sound like good things to me to feed her.

She's got probiotics, electrolytes, polyvisol and so on. DH just checked in the coop for me while I am at work, and she is in her little confined area. He said she stood up for a mintue to look at him and then sat down. So we have made it this far.

I commend you for your restraint. I do not understand why people want to even HAVE animals if they are just going to treat them like this. At the risk of sounding a bit too extreme, it would be nice if we could take the owners and put THEM in those conditions so that they could get an up-close-and-personal experience...perhaps breaking them of their carelessness.
