Rebecca, I am so sorry for you unimaginable loss... I'm just getting started and already I would do anything to protect my girls. And yours were truly beautiful and loving.

I'm glad you were able to give hope and a new start to a rescued hen. She is lucky to have you in her life.

I don't have any pictures of our new girl yet, but I do have lots of Little Jerry. As you can see, I love to take pictures of my chickens

This is Little Jerry Seinfeld. He is a bantam cochin. A friend was told us the other day that he is so handsome, he doesn't look real. He looks like he has been sculpted. It is true. His feathers look as if they have been slicked with oil, they are so shiny.

aw gee... add me to the list of criers!!! I have read many predator killing posts and never cried.... this one is just so much more terrible.

I was tough until I read about Little Jerry finding a treat and calling his girls.

that was pitiful I bet.

I am glad that you are starting new. I can hardly imagine my life without my chicken kids now.
