bug spray is an effective fire starter too!

So are potato chips!

I save and reuse all my empty feed bags. I use them for cleaning out my coops. A plastic lawn/garden bag can't be filled all the way up because they break and can't hold the weight. The feed bags are awesome and it saves money on having to buy plastic trash bags. I can't do the composting thing so I have to get rid of it all at the dump.

I save coffee cans use the metal ones for grease, the plastic ones are used for scoops
I save bread bags and use to put on bread I freeze, I save alumina(sp) pans and use for gift foods such as pie breads ect. I reuse the stuffing from pillows that get old I reuse socks and shirts for rags, I use freecycle, I try and use what I can and recycle the rest

You can have an impact if you just try to give things One More Use before throwing them away. There will be many things that you can devise multiple uses for, but for almost everything else, try to find At Least One More Use for it.

The waxed-paper bags that hold cereal in the boxes can be used like plastic storage bags. The cereal boxes are a handy material to have on hand when you need some stiff cardboard.

I save junk-mail envelopes and the smaller return envelopes inside to use for lots of things, for saving seed, stashing little notes & cards in my bag, for when I need to give someone money, etc.
