I kept noticing little things one by one as the homepage got changed up and it started looking a little unorganized.
Here's my idea on how we can better organize it. My idea also cuts loading time and makes the entire page shorter than before.
What did I change?
Replaced the BackYardChicken.com logo at the top to the one that the forum uses for consistency.
Google Search is now at the top of the page.
Moved the Subscription thing to the left side menu.
Compressed the Resources at the bottom of the page.
Rearranged the side menu.
Added in social sites on the side menu above the subscription thing. In order... Add to Favorites, RSS feed, Join the MySpace group (or post link on MySpace), Join the Facebook group (or post link on Facebook), add to iGoogle.
Compressed the Recent Posts and I included a Most Recent Announcement. I also included the top poster.
Changed the corners to rounded in all the modules.
Moved some modules to different spots.
Changed the 'Featured in' box.
