They grow at relatively the same speed so you can't tell a male from a female by how fast they grow. Even if you had only females some will grow slightly faster and bigger than the others. The main thing that will help you tell if it is a male or female is the comb. When my rooster was a month old his comb was a lot more obvious and growing. You should be able to tell if your chick is male or female at about 6 weeks.Well, I will still post a new pic every week but, by week 3 maybe you can tell.
