I like the coop. I bought it for what I thought was a very reasonable price without really a plan to use it, but knew I couldn't pass it up.
Right now I've only two chickens in it, but I bet it'd fit 4-5 comfortably. If I just wanted them to pick at the grass a bit, I'd move them every day or two. But I'm actually using them to decimate the lawn , so I can go behind the tractor and lay down a thick layer of compost, then seed to grass. Because that's my plan, I'm leaving it in place for 2-3 weeks at a time. They really leave the ground barren and turned over in that time.
I'll put these two chickens in with the rest of the flock in the big coops for winter, probably within the next week. Someone will get a turn in the tractor come spring again.
Since I create a lot of compost in my chicken system, I figure this is a good way to go about reseeding the lawn while removing the existing grass and weeds, adding a lot of nutrients, and most of all, letting the chickens do most of the work!
