Ribh's D'Coopage

The vet told me he was probably taken from his mother before he was properly weaned so it is a suckling comfort sort of thing.
He is a rescue cat and was in terrible shape when I took him in. So of course I am a big softy and get him fleece blankets because even though he is now a big sleek happy guy, I hate that he misses his mother! My current theory is that he just knows how to make me spoil him.
Yes. My 2 were dumped before their eyes were even open. It is kitten behaviour. I also think it's love & safety. Kirby doesn't do it to anyone [or anything] else except me. I tried offering him other things but it's not the same as having me pet him & growl @ him @ the same time.

Gee none of my dogs ever did that - maybe you should get a dog :yesss: sounds kinda creepy.
I've had a couple of *Groomers*. My SiameseX [also a rescue] used to hold my oldest boy down & groom him till his hair was dripping wet ~ & the lad let him do it! 🙄 Marlow, the other one of my present pair, would groom me if allowed. He's not allowed.:lau

Someone on @BY Bob's thread was commenting on random egg drops.
Here Beatha is the main culprit.
I found her egg in the dust bath this morning. I know it is hers because Mhari [pictured] hasn't come back on the lay yet after a prolonged broody patch & her eggs are mottled rather than being a nice uniform blue. Thankfully her shells are as hard as rocks & I was able to rake it out ~ much to the flocks distress.
Danger! Danger! Feeder with rake! 🙄

The area needs a good rake & maybe a sand top~up.
When it is wet as it has been the past few days the girls spend a lot of time here, under the coop with all the molting going on it is inches deep in discarded feathers.

Hubby and I have always loved this meme:

When Jasper tries to give us a wash (quite often my hand) we say we’re on the scratchy tongue cycle. :gig

Jeannie, I love seeing your girls. Mine gifted us with a huge surprise yesterday... After a long dry spell and a few eggs here and there, this was yesterday's find. This is the first time I've seen this and likely the last but what a glorious day.

Oh and the asparagus was a bonus too.
Wow! 😮 You have some monster eggs there, Bob. Do I take it @ least some of those are turkey eggs. I can't say I've ever seen a turkey egg.
