Ribh's D'Coopage

Good morning folks :frow

Sue had a sleepy day today. they're going to run her through another MRI sometime tonight. When she sits up for any length of time she get's severe headaches. So they've been drugging her up and keeping her laying at about 30* so she sleeps a lot.
Sleep is very healing.

Well, I have been whinging about my hens not laying since February/March but for the last week Tsuki has been showing signs of laying again. Squatting for me, checking out the nest boxes and getting in the way when I'm trying to clean out the coop.😜

When I went out to give them breakfast this morning they all came running except for Tsuki.

When I called her she came shooting out of the nest box.

"Aha!" thought I

Sure enough, when I checked there was a beautiful brown egg......wait what?

It seems that Edwina was ready too. She's not squatting for me though.

A few minutes later, Tsuki layed her white egg for me.

Oh, gosh! I haven't wanted to complain because I am getting eggs but... I have a secret layer & the rotten girl is burying her eggs in the nest mulch!!! I'd suspect Morrigu only the egg is tiny [ie bantam sized] & white. My bantams should be laying brown eggs. It's not Aoife ~ her white eggs are slightly bigger. Ha'penny is moulting & not laying. Medh hasn't begun to lay yet & judging by her comb not about to start any time soon. Alpia is investigating the nesting boxes but not yet laying I don't think. So I am getting 2 white eggs & I only know who one of my layers is. :barnie

CONGRATULATIONS ON YOUR EGGS. At least you know who laid them. That's one up on me.

I just read...*takes shuddering breath*...through 9 pages... I know I promised I’d keep up.
Don't do it to yourself! Some weeks it can be 100 pages plus. Just read where & when you can. You have lots of other stuff happening in your life.
