Ribh's D'Coopage

I wonder what's on her mind. Have you checked her over for soreness?
I haven't given her a thorough check yet MJ. I noticed the poop this morning. Donk doesn't eat much of the commercial feed at the best of times and she's craped out some strange looking stuff over the years. Mouse hair was one that had me worried. I noticed her poop but if I hit the panic button every time someone here did an odd poop I would be a nervous wreck by now.
When I did lunch she ate a bit but seemed okay apart from keeping away from Myth. A while later I found her sitting. Notch and Myth were both close by but Donk sitting and letting me touch her beak without backing away is unusual. So, I watched her carefully this evening and checked her crop and bum once she had gone to roost. Bear in mind it wasn't many days ago I pulled her off an outside nest so she may or may not be ready to lay eggs again. So, that's one check I can't use. If a hen is laying then she's probably okay. There are some black feathers on the coop floor which must be Donk's, so a slow moult is another factor.

They're going to struggle then. Despite all the political bullshit and some rather arrogant statements from some of the scientists you can't control a virus and the idea that anyone is going to produce a vaccine that works in the long term is laughable. People here are getting flu jabs that are no longer effective.
I better stop. I can feel the room temperature rising and I've only just got it bearable after the heat.
All good. I agree with you. The jabs are useless. I was thinking more people are already having a hard time & our summer is never easy on anyone. :)

I'm thinking the vaccine is a good option for folks with co-morbidities. And if we can accelerate vaccine research to outstrip virus evolution, then we'll be onto something.
