Its pretty, just not a favoriteI luuuuuuurve purple!![]()
Me too!!
I would choose blue most of the time .When I was choosing plants for my native garden my main criteria were 1. plants from the local area, 2. preferably blue or purple flowers.![]()
There is a lovey purple native fringed lily. It grows wild round here ~ or @ least it used too...

Mhari swore @ me just before I shot this.
I must say my girls are pretty tolerant of me but I'm running a broody show just now.
I have a thing for daisies.Well, I've grown them before but they only seem to last a couple of years. I think that they tend to act like semi annuals in cultivation.
The daisies however are thriving and threatening to take over the whole garden!
I have 3 who want to sit just now. So far I have managed to dissuade them. What a good girl!My Salmon Faverolle is still broody, she is very good when I check for any eggs...but, she does talk or maybe grumble at me the whole time!
I bet. Not sure I'd try to take on a full grown turkey.Good evening everyone
I would choose yelling at me over biting any day!! Our Turkey's are the worst![]()
I haven't tried to hard to dissuade mine, I'm getting plenty of eggs, hopefully she will give up soon!I have 3 who want to sit just now. So far I have managed to dissuade them.![]()
Those are so beautiful! For those who've never seen them, these flowers are Australian Christmas bells.
In their natural environment they only flower well after fire & I haven't seen them growing wild since I was a child.
They are being cultivated commercially so not extinct yet.

She seems to be doing ok. I put her in the small coop @ dusk last night as the ramp is quite steep & she settled right down but she made it down this morning before I got out to her & was foraging as best she could in the little coop but she is so light it's scary & she has no bulk to hold her own against my big girls ~ or even my bantams really.I haven't tried to hard to dissuade mine, I'm getting plenty of eggs, hopefully she will give up soon! How is Suyin doing today?
