They are ~ but they are a bit out of control just now. They have got very demanding. They know if the noise exceeds a certain level I'll arrive to check all is well ~ so they up the anti when they want me. Last night they thought I was too slow in coming to tuck them in for the night so they upped the noise level. It wasn't ugly. They weren't squabbling. They were just very loud. I arrived & everyone promptly subsided into sleepy burblings & hunkered down on their roost. They make no noise when they want out of their run!

Sounds like they are training you and you are rewarding bad behavior on their part.

I'm afraid Bob's right Ribh.

But us humans are easy to train. At least you don't have a communication problem with your girls!

You need cameras. I use the cameras at times to make sure everyone is good so I don't have to go to them.

Cats meow because we respond to it when they do. Davis did not make a sound for the first 2 months he was with us. Then he learned the meow.

Well, yes. My cats are chatty but I talk to them. I think the birds are the same. They have something to tell me & they want to tell me NOW!!!

My cats don't meow much. One of mine gets me to do what he wants (food) by systematically throwing everything off my desk until I can't stand it any more.

I've been wanting to try this pattern for a while but I wanted to use some hand dyed yarn & that proved rather difficult in the middle of a pandemic. I eventually got one skein to work with ~ not enough for a full shawl but enough for a small scarf. I think it came up rather pretty. Still have to tidy up my ends but we're done.

It's like a beautiful lacy collar . The pattern is little hard to see here but looks lovely. I look forward to the 3 skein version.

Soda is gorgeous. Her legs look really thick in this photo. Maybe she has Brahma in her lineage?

lol Yes, It's like swimming in a water colour with everything running together.

Soda is just a really, really big girl. She was the smallest of my BR pullets when I got them & now look @ her!
