Apparently it’s perfectly okay for them to touch me! I have to be careful.

That's how mine are now as well. I can get a little touching in with Hattie and Sansa but the others, not so much. But they can walk all over me and I should not care.

Patience young jedi. I could not catch Daisy at this point. Later I could not get her out of my lap. Give them time.

Well with so many chickateers around I guess I'm in good hands even if the chickens aren't. I know where to come for advice. First question: Are they big enough I can bribe them with mealworms yet?

Absolutely. blueberries work too once they know what they are. Meal worms immediately.

The coop was scary last night.
Plus the cord on the coop door broke so that was this morning's repair job. Less squawking than there has been having me around.

It is another steamy muggy day & everyone is looking for a cool spot except Alpia who is ensconced in a nesting box & bokking happily because she has been allowed to stay.

Well. I am grumpy this evening - brutal week at work.
I typed the above entry and thought grumpily "time they produced an egg"... ... ... Then I grumpily bundled up to go out to close the Princesses up for the night and set the mouse-traps and cameras ... ... ... ... And I grumpily stomped through the rain ... .... .... ... And I grumpily picked my way through the mud to get to the Chicken Palace ... ... ... ... ... And I grumpily checked the egg boxes ... ... ..... And ... ... ... ...
