Ribh's D'Coopage

Ha. The war is on. Luna had kicked a box out of the nesting boxes so she could lay this morning & both Alpia & Wrold were squeezed together sitting on her egg. Meanwhile Beatha was screaming @ both of them & pecking away so she could get in the box to lay. 🙄 There is trouble brewing thanks to those 2. The flock is pissed.
They are all such drama queens...:D

I was looking at the video you posted earlier Ribh. Can those little feather dusters reach the food in those trays?

Yep. I keep them topped up but they'll just hop right in if need be. I'm more worried about the water. I'd raised the tray to try & keep the mulch out & the bricks do give them a perch but I think I need to lower it & just deal with the mulch.

Leaving the coop this morning.
The first 3 were too fast for me...
The ramp is too steep but even with the lower end raise on bricks it is still pretty steep.

It's a bit slippery too. How about putting a tree stump under the end with a few bricks to go hop, hop, hop down? It doesn't seem safe enough for the littlest.

I have to share a couple of videos...these are wood ducks and they are only a couple of days old!!!

I was not expecting that! The thick leaves around the tree provide a very gentle and bouncy landing. It's wonderful how the different species have adapted to their environments.

Oh those little dusters have fluffy feet - you did say, but I only saw them on this video. :love
They seem quite capable of flying out so I guess the ramp is more to go back up!
They are just the cutest ever!
