Ribh's D'Coopage

Yeah but unfortunately she is the only teacher on the level of maths I’m on, to go down a class it would be to easy for me and up a class would be to hard and they already moved me because I was being bullied by a girl in the class I was originally supposed to be in

Should have moved the bully!!!

As a parent that would not be the case with any of my children. I removed my son from a class and filed a complaint...it was taken care of! I've had some really bad teachers myself growing up, so I also know what it's like...not good.

Ditto. I removed my eldest girl from the school for a fortnight before the holidays over bullying, which gave the school a month to sort the issue out or I was removing her permanently. She got them a lot of funding through sport so the issue was sorted.

My youngest was harder. We were using the state Distance programme & her supervisor was someone who should not have been teaching. Unfortunately there was a huge issue with the Brisbane State schools @ the time & so many parents suddenly pulled their children the Distance programme was overwhelmed & overcrowded. We were forced to pull her & went with a private programme who were always absolutely wonderful!! She ended up having the same supervisor for the rest of her schooling, someone we both liked & got on excellently with & worked with us, rather than against us, as we worked out the quirkier kinks in my daughter's learning style. :lau

The so called experts are not always the best choice. I make no bones about being ghastly @ math ~ but I taught my child without understanding most of what I was teaching & it worked because I had already taught her how to teach herself so none of her choices were cast in iron. She has just completed the Armed Forces IQ exam ~ which is mostly higher math: I went & looked :gig& passed high enough above average that she could train as a pilot if she wanted. And this is the child who refused to do any higher math throughout high school & a mother who didn't see why she should have to. Teach a child how to learn before all else & they can learn whatever they need when they need it. Don't do that & they will remain stupid regardless of how many letters they have after their name.

And that is my biggest beef with our education department. They somehow equate shoving information in with actual learning.:he:he:he Don't shoot me. I worked as a remedial teacher for over a decade & I've seen all kinds of stupid. Made stupid is the worst. :barnie

It is much the same over here! I think we've had this conversation before...lol! I totally agree ...teach them how to learn...I also home-schooled my children, the public schools became a waste of time! I was also terrible at math and quite a few other things...I did have the support of friends who also taught their children and we supplemented with each other! My kids excelled! Congratulations to your daughter...you have every right to be proud of her.

I call our education system the dumbing down of America system...schools are turning into propaganda centers! They no longer teach them how to figure things out on their own, but they do teach them they can become whoever and whatever they want to become...which is so false...mainly because they don't teach them how to figure things out on their own! I know that was a somewhat redundant sentence...but it was intentional! :)

I've always been fairly passionate about education ~ probably because I got a bunch of smart but different learners then when I began doing the remedial stuff I watched kids dropping through the cracks in the system like flies. I don't blame the teachers. They have to try & work with the nonsense departments dream up. 🙄

There are no fewer than 6 litter boxes in acceptable locations and they have been using them for years. And one day they just form a liking for the front door. I wondered if they got scared of something in the basement (mouse?) but there is still the utility room and an upstairs bedroom they used to use (and still do a bit). It is all very puzzling.
There could be another cat spraying the outside of your door. Yours are reacting by marking the inside. You may want to set a camera on your doorstep and see.
