Those older girls have paid their dues and made it there as well. They have earned the top roost.I'm rather sorry I went with this design now. I still like it aesthetically but when 20+ birds are vying for a spot on the top it gets more than a little crazy!I want the man to change them so it's in a U with everyone @ the same height but I just know there would be an outcry from all my older girls who love the top bar!

I'm so glad I got one then. It is funny how easy it was for me to get a Shad mug and how hard to get a Lavender mug. Exactly the opposite for you. Worlds apart we be.I love my new mug but it is the Shad mug that is really elusive. I was trying to get one too but they aren't being made anymore.The only one I could find was from the UK and cost 35 pounds, and that was before shipping! I didn't want it quite that much!

We have them at our county fairs. The only thing is that they are in the fall and many birds are molting at the time. I have no idea how they do the judging?

This sounds like so much fun! I'm ready to go to a fair! You will have to share what chook he picks out!The Sydney Royal Easter Show starts next week. The family is heading down to see all the animals, the wood chopping (hubby's favourite) and the agricultural displays. We will also be dropping in to the chicken pavilion and hubby can point out the type of chook he wants to get next, when there is room in the coop.
