What a gorgeous flock. I love blues! Never seen blue rocks before. I have 3 Barred Plymouth. My blue is an Australorp bantam, Pebbles. She has delusions of grandeur. View attachment 1841335

She is beautiful! I really enjoy the shading you get with the blues. Breeze is the same breed, but a completely different shade of blue. I can't wait to see how he matures, because he is so beautiful.

Wow. I would have expected problems with that mix! You are blessed!

Me too! I told my husband one wrong step and she's gone. The cats and chickens were here first, but she's been great with them. Her main concern in life is food and where I am. She is my Velcro dog, which I can take or leave.

The blues are gorgeous & I have a very pretty lavender Frizzle [avatar @ present]. I'm a bit leery of the reds. A couple of bad experiences.

I was never a big Frizzle fan, but the more and more I see they are growing on me. I never liked Silkies, but now I'm breeding them! lol

My Red is a great layer, but I won't get any more. She's the loudest of the flock and really is as dumb as a brick. All the others will be digging in the underbrush and she stands out in the middle of the yard alone. I keep saying if any birds get picked off it will be her.

I have velcro cats & that's about my limit! The chooks are pretty bad too. Any time I'm in the pen they crowd me so bad I can barely move & Suyin [my darker salmon favorelle X] is always getting stepped on. She's also my problem child when it comes to flying up & landing on whatever bit of me strikes her fancy @ the time!:hmm

I've found reds too aggressive for my liking [both towards me & the flock in general] but MaryJanet has a lovely one. I like silkies but they're really only for decorative purposes & I do like my eggs ~ though just now we are getting 6~9 a day. I gave away 31/2 dozen this week & still have more than enough for our purposes.

So beautiful! I don't have any sunset pictures, but I do have a blurry active flock picture!

These are good problems to have. Although many people don't like them flying onto them, I don't mind it.
