Ribh's D'Coopage

Awwww! I am very excited for my garden too! The problem is it is a bit like chicken math - you start and you just keep adding!
Here are some of the other things on my 'must have' list.
  • Magnolia virginiana – they are interesting all year round and have multiple stems
  • Cornus florida - these are red and yellow twigged dogwoods - pretty in winter
  • Vibernum carlesii - a gorgeous fragrant vibernum
  • Blueberry bushes and maybe some other berry bush
Sorry if everyone else is bored but it seems ACM and I share an interest!
:clapI love gardening plans! As well as watching them grow.

We planted 2 little tree seedlings around 28 years ago to replace a gum tree we had to have removed. The seedlings turned out to be Blue Gums.

They've grown a bit over the years. 😁

So I’m going to post this on Ribh’s thread (I hope she doesn’t mind!), simply because @Aussie-Chookmum has some catching up to do on @BY Bob ‘s thread.

So I took my son to the Hawkesbury Show today, and the weather was just perfect! He went on his very first roller-coaster and had a pretty good time. We also saw lots of chooks, cats and a sheep being shorn. I’ll post some pics as I saw Vorwerks, a prize-winning Australorp and a hen that looked she had Barnevelder in her. There were even Frizzled Polishes!

It was also great that I got to meet Aussie-Chookmum IRL! I got a bit of video of her felting; I’ll upload it when I get it off my camera.

It was great to meet Lozzy and her son. I was demonstrating needle felting at the show. ( A chicken. Why do you ask? 😁) So it was good to have Lozzy do a bit of filming for me.

I have pictures to add soon, including real chickens too! My video will be a few weeks in the making though.

My grandmother always made one when we had get-togethers; she had lots of experience. The first time I made one it was flat as a pancake! :barnie
I quite like the flat ones. Nice and chewy. Mmmmm 😂

I need to give it a try, but I may experience the same result! :)
Whatever you do, don't use spray on cream. My sister did that a couple of Christmases ago and the cream liquefied and all the fruit went sliding off the side. Quite entertaining. We had to eat it real quick!
