Obeying her avian masters
Well, she looked as if butter wouldn't melt in her mouth. She had me fooled. She could be a PITA. She denuded nearly everyone's rumps but she was pretty & ditzy & I loved her.

Thank you Ribh. It is all supposed to be done in the first week of August but lock down may have an effect on that. We shall see...Yes please! I'm madly interested.
Easy~peasy. I read there so I knew which thread & the new kitchen wasn't a long way back. Nicer for you than having to wait on time zones & the day behind catching up.![]()
Yes they jump the fence and go for a run through the paddock hahaBeautiful flock! With lots of space to roam.![]()
I had to think hard for a minute there. Our directions are the opposite. I knew that but my brain has not had enough coffee to process that quickly this morning.Well, BRs are winter layers & most of my flock have finished moulting. I have about 8 POLs & everyone else is getting ready to lay again. Remember, I'm a lot further north than you are. Our days are already lengthening
He surely is!Thank you Jehane! The only thing we didn't do ourselves was the countertops. Hubs is pretty talented!![]()
It's good that you caught it. Bear in mind that sometimes Hattie just sleeps on the floor and it doesn't mean anything. I would give her the once over to be certain though. Keep us posted.Deana is always the first to roost and always uses a perch.
Tonight I found her sitting in the nesting box. She hasn't laid an egg since October last year.
I just checked on her. She is still in the nesting box. Her crop feels only half full.
I will give her some coconut oil and massage tomorrow and see if I can feel an egg.
I'm a bit concerned at this change in behaviour.
Oh same here - I had to turn my head upside down to make sure I got it!I had to think hard for a minute there. Our directions are the opposite. I knew that but my brain has not had enough coffee to process that quickly this morning.
