I love ballet, it really has to be seen in person to get the full effect. I wish I could afford it mire often.
Yes, I can't generally afford it either ~ especially the really good visiting troupes. I saw Spartacus @ the Opera House when I was in my early 20s & it was one of the most brilliant performances I've ever been privileged to see.

Moments like that are so uplifting and dignifying. I had the delight of seeing Nureyev. It was towards the end of his career but he was still wonderful.
 
I've been to see a few ballet performances. I like the occasion really; not so much the ballet itself. A chance to put on decent rags and pretend for a few hours that I belong to the civilized strata of society.:D
Just about any other type of dance I go and see when I can and mostly really enjoy it.
Very clever!
 
We've had 45.5mm since 9am this morning.
The paths can't carry it away fast enough & the ground is now waterlogged. Nothing's soaking in any more.​
