Ribh's D'Coopage

When I signed up for online study one of my biggest concerns was the chickens. We all know how noisy they can be ~ & LOUD. My study area is down amongst the chickens but so far the chickens have not been a concern. Kirby, on the other hand, has made himself a cat of renown. I'm not all that tech savvy so had no idea when I turned on *video* everything my end was going to be seen. About 3/4 into my archaeology lecture Kirby decided he needed some hard loving. He trotted down the table, across the screen & into my lap where he proceeded to give head butts, chin rubs, loud purrs, & kittie kisses before settling into my lap. The startled lecturer stopped mid sentence to declare: That's a lovely looking cat you have there! 😊 :th

Oh I so empathize with that. During the 2 years pandemic before my retirement I was constantly on Zooms - often with large numbers of people - and my cats became total company celebrities.
Early on I had to answer some serious questions from people concerned we would be laying off staff and just as the question was thrown to me the whole view of me was obscured by a cat with a sudden fascination with the camera.
When I announced I was retiring I swear I got as many e-mails about how people would miss my cats as emails saying I would be missed!

So I've started combining my music with my drawing; I've created a short video that shows some of the progression photos I took (I don't know if I'm up for the type of 'time-lapse' art videos you can see on Instagram!) I had a play with some of the effects and wrote a little music to go over the top. Here is the link if you'd like to have a look.

Cats have this knack. 🥰

Davis is famous at my company. Somehow he only shows up for internal calls but he clearly wants to be known.
