That's awesome news ❤She certainly has! She reached another milestone last night. I had put her down on the lawn so I could tidy up prior to washing down the patio & she took herself to bed with everyone else!!! She hasn't been able to do that in months.
I need to catch up on this conversation, but RC, I would be happy to be tagged in your posts, follow your thread if you start one. Or whatever you go with.I must say it doesn't feel great to me to have the 'you are not in my gang' vibe going. And we are all kind hearted so we will be saying oh please invite xxx or yyy and then before you know it we will be back to the same only half duplicated.
It is a tough one for sure.
So in a ' and so they probably don't perceive any of them as 'other'. I think your tribe is so varied that their perception of 'other' is more forgiving than would normally be the case.
I'm coming back to comment on this because what I am seeing with my tribe is fascinating and related to this split off and "Birds of a Feather" concept. This ^^ Although the Vorwerks might form their own group.
Betty does not appreciate your comment.Noooo.....but you frizzled a Polish. Even I think that's weird.![]()
Could it be size? To my eye Betty is a lot bigger than Phyllis and closer in size to the big girls. Well, maybe not Hattie-sized!I'm coming back to comment on this because what I am seeing with my tribe is fascinating and related to this split off and "Birds of a Feather" concept.
For two weeks Betty and Phyllis lived together separated from the rest of the tribe. They roosted together although Phyllis was not kind to her at roosting time. Betty still eventually would wind up next to Phyllis on the roost.
Since they have all been joined together Betty has been roosting with the main tribe more and more often. It started out as an occasional night on the main roost. Then it was every other night. Now it is most nights. She has even roosted next to Aurora on the high roost. Last night she was snuggled next to Hattie.

While Betty is frizzled she still "looks" more like Phyllis than the big girls yet she is choosing to hang out with the big girls at night. And they are not running her off like they do Phyllis.
At this point it has to be personalities right? This cannot just be about looks. Betty looks nothing like everyone else.
Shad constantly shoots me down on this one [& yes there will always be exceptions] but as a broad generalisation Frizzles have a reputation for being sweet natured. I have seen this with all my frizzles, including Lavender, who was a breed frizzle. They may do darstardly things but they aren't persecuted for it. Look @ Olivia getting up on the top roost in the 1st days of being in the big coop! No~one even pecked her.I'm coming back to comment on this because what I am seeing with my tribe is fascinating and related to this split off and "Birds of a Feather" concept.
