Ribh's D'Coopage

I have switched from coffee to tea. For some reason since I had the flu the smell of coffee makes me nauseous. . Do I am trying to learn all the "correct" things about having tea.

Thank you for the education.
The "correct" way to have tea is to enjoy it your way. 😊

I'm a sucker for paraphernalia (as you may have noticed) but you can enjoy it any way you want to! 🍵

WEDNESDAY WHEREVER. ☺️
The pattern for this blanket is called bunny tracks. I have been waiting on some lovely Beatrix Potter buttons [Flopsy, Mopsy & Peter] to arrive so I could finish it off. They arrived yesterday.

Another beautiful piece Ribh.

I like your cat bookend too. :love

ACM: I have a bit of an Etsy addiction ~ not necessarily to buy but just so I can look @ beautiful things...😉 & I thought you might like these. [I was going to show them off when you visited but as that didn't happen...]
They are Japanese tea cups. I think the glaze is fantastic. As I don't drink tea they have been repurposed. :gig

Oooh, lovely! Thank you for sharing.
I must break out some of mine that I haven't shown, though they are not as nice as these.

I too have an Etsy addiction. I have 30 collections in my favourites, some with well over 200 items in them! :lau

I'm so disappointed that we didn't get to see you. If only we had headed up two weeks earlier or later we would have avoided most of the water! Talk about bad timing.

ok, Tea drinkers, give it your best shot. In an attempt to regulate my sleep without resorting to drugs I decided to give tea another go. I know chamomile is supposed to be a relaxant so I went with this & honestly...just gross. 🤮 How do you guys drink this stuff? Any recommendations? And I'm pretty sure i don't like floraly things. Tastes like drinking fluff. 🤢View attachment 3026956
I'm not a drinker of herbals, but ACM will know what to buy.

My only suggestion is that a plain chamomile will let you add honey to taste, so might be a slight improvement than a tea with honey included.

I do rather enjoy a green tea though. If my memory is reliable, green tea has no caffeine.
Actually, I don't think I will be much help to you Ribh. I really like the floral teas and in fact, after seeing your post, went and made a cuppa of the "Sleep Well" tea which I'm rather fond of. 🤣

If you are ever at an agricultural show or similar you may find tea companies hawking their wares and offering tastes of various teas. It's a good way to find out what flavour you favor.

Oh I am totally with you! I can't handle fancy herbal teas at all and Camomile is particularly gross.
I do make my own 'tea' with mint from the garden and sometimes with ginger. But I don't think of that as 'a cup of tea', I think of it as flavored water.
Strong black tea for me every time!
Fresh is the best way for herbal teas RC. You are a natural! 😁

Earl Grey is nice and smokey. English Breakfast is my favourite because it's quite full-flavoured, but generally speaking I enjoy any breakfast tea. For many years Orange Pekoe was my favourite - it's called orange because of its colour, it doesn't have oranges or orange flavouring in it.

I recently shared a link to the Monista tea shop with ACM, but maybe some of you will like it too. https://monistatea.com.au/ I was given a canister of their EB for Christmas and it's been wonderful!
If you want a smokey tea, Lapsang Souchong is very strong and one of hubby's favourites. I personally think it smells like smoked haddock and can't stand it. 😂
