Ribh's D'Coopage

:frow The Polar Blast has reached us. Wind, wind & more wind. Down to about 3 degrees. Our fire is raging. So grateful for a good fire & plenty of wood to stoke it!
Brrrrr too cold for me!
Good morning everyone :frow

Dig ups are a nasty business *shudder*

What about the flippin' drones! I hate them, buzzing around, snooping into the yard when all I'm doing is having a cuppa with the chooks! Drones are the one thing I would shoot out of the sky if I had a shotgun. I like my backyard privacy dammit

I use small pavers - dad left a big pile of them under the bottlebrush. So far, so good :fl

Hate 'em. We've had them hover in front of our bedroom windows looking in. Our eastern windows go floor to ceiling @ canopy height so that's just rude!
. That’s truly nuts... i can’t imagine having drones flying all round randomly, there was one here when there was a film crew for a tv episode called moosemeat and marmalade that featured the farm... something about goat hunting I think. But is drones ever started randomly showing up I do think we would start shooting them down. That’s just creepy

Me too. Now whenever I see birds walking around I see the similarity to my chickens! :jumpy
I find it's particularly apparent with things like coucal & pheasants 'cause they're not great fliers either. :)

That's funny. I came at this the exact opposite way. I was a song bird guy. I had special feeders all over my yard. I had bluebirds and swallows nesting in my bird houses. My wife got me binoculars that would take digital photos. I would sit at my back door in the winter watching the birds through my binoculars. Even taking photos of them.

Then she got chickens. I still have feeders but I am now chicken obsessed.

Wimp. These three never minded the cold and snow.
