Ribh's D'Coopage

More wondering if the problem was stress related.
Betty's wings were like that the day she came to live with us. There has been no change in her feathering since she came. I suppose we can better judge after she goes through a full molt.

I have no other hens showing any signs of stress issues with their feathers and I have no feather pecking occurring. Of course that doesn't mean that Betty isn't under stress.

She seems happy but she doesn't talk to me about her feelings. She is very much in the Sydney category of don't get close to me. I'm down to 2 hens that I can actually touch when I want, Hattie and Phyllis. Sydney and Aurora will eat from my hand but go full panic if I were to try to touch them. Betty doesn't even eat from my hand.

Good evening folks :frow

Thank you Bob and Bob (Bob squared?) :D The fecal float came back as positive for coccidia and the vet has recommended a treatment with an active ingredient called toltrazuril. I’ve asked the nurse to check if that is different to amprolium and she will call me tomorrow.

I like having a plan. Fingers crossed this perks them up.

RE AUSSIE-CHOOKMUM:
I managed to get in contact. All is well but she is felting up a storm for the Windsor show. She sends her love & hopes to be back on~line in a couple of weeks.
Great to hear that and I am dying to see her felting - that video she did always makes me think I should try my hand but I am never brave enough to start! I think it is such a cool thing that she does.
