The days are getting shorter and the weather's colder. I had to add a blanket to the bed a few days ago.

Caturday today will be Grochatila's last day of antibiotics. I explained on other threads that he wasn't grumpy on that last photo I posted of him, he was very ill. I feel bad I made fun of him instead of seeing something was wrong sooner ! Now he has regained most of the weight he lost and is back to normal behaviour but we will need to be watching him.

Spring here also means checking for ticks on the cats daily, already took off three in the last two weeks.

I so dislike ticks, none on Todd yet, but I've had two on me so far I think I'll stay out of the garden for now

Ha'penny & Portia.​

I think the girls are pretty happy. All my bantams have been broody since they arrived. Wrold now has ALL the fake eggs under herself.
While they do make use of the entire yard they spend most of their time either under the fruit trees or amongst the bananas. I am down to just 3 standards & they are on the small side. Ha'penny is the last surviving hen from my 2nd buy so quite aged now but still laying regularly.
