Happy Caturday. I wonder if the kitty in this video ever found a home.

Oh that is awful.
The poor cat is terrified and they have no idea how to handle him. He clearly hates the leash. It takes a long time to get a cat comfortable with a leash.
I am sorry, but I am firmly on team cat in this one.

Exactly. You would think they would be better at descalating an bad situation with an animal. Everything they did just made it worse.
I'm still stuck on the decision to use a leash.

And why shoot the video outside where the cat can make a break for it and get its leash snagged on something causing further injury?

Come to think of it, if they'd shot the video indoors then no leash would've been needed.

I agree. Éowyn will take the leash but only to go to the vet. I don't use it otherwise. At the vet she mostly wants me to carry her.

I think most cats object to a leash. Kirby is adept @ getting out of his harness. He practically needs cutting in two to prevent him escaping.

Blossom would hate it.
Some cats are fine with it but they typically have either been raised using one or have been very slowly acclimatized to it.
I tried.
My little guy was good with the harness. He slept in it. It smelled of him. He was a happy guy trotting around in it.
We sat on the sofa together and I thought we would try walking on the leash.
I reached for the leash to attach to his harness and there was the harness still on the sofa. Sans cat!
He knew somehow. And so he simply extracted himself from the harness.
I gave up.
