Hi MJ. No internet provider @ present so mostly absent from BYC. Have lost the last chick & Tootsie is blind in one eye. Don't think it's permanent, just a scab & swelling. With no chick to defend she's once more her usual affable self & so very pleased to see me whenever I put in an appearance.

Sorry to learn about the chick and I hope Tootsie's eye comes good

New cat in our garden. Don’t know who is the owner. After a short stroll she went to the other side of the hedge , through the neighbours cat door to steal the neighbours cat food.

Well well well.

The cat that I posted last week looks similar. And it is bothersome. It has stared down the chooks while they were in their coop, and today it was brazen enough to just waltz past my door right next to me. The chooks let out a small warning call but they don't really care about it. That cat has attacked the doves in the front yard before. I love cats, don't get me wrong, but this one is quite annoying at times.
