Ribh's D'Coopage

Knock looks like a pretty little hen & Rivit is quite stunning. You have quite the collection of combs & colours. :)
I do and over the years I've had some gorgeous looking males and females.
Punch, the bigger rooster in the pic below is a good looking rooster.
Nolia, the dark hen in the middle of the picture shows the Marans in her. She's tiny.

Oh. My. Gosh. *swoon* So beautiful. I do love me a handsome rooster!

Hey there, Sue. Are you feeling rested & ready for the next round of the fray?

I suppose so-as ready as a person can get  Monday will be so much fun with crying and all that mess :barniebut it's the job and helps pay the bills :D It's also time for home visits again, so I'll have to figure out how and when to get those done.

Hope you have a lovely day :)

My 2 bottom girls are Tuppence & Lottie. Lottie is really tiny, only about the size of a large teacup. During the day she scavenges for herself & does pretty well amongst all the big girls but I like everyone to roost with a full crop so the evening feed I have always had Lottie in my lap so she can feed unharassed.

My Campines are also smaller & lighter than my other girls, so I have been hand feeding them as well. This can be something of a circus as everyone else is convinced they are missing out on a super special treat & want in on the action. Tuppence is one of those super sweet chickies~ easy~going & not overly assertive & within the flock rather bullied & often off on her own. I suspect the bullying is why she does so much fence hopping.

Anyway, Lottie is her running mate. They will forage together & roost together @ night & generally seem to be good friends ~& I was happy for both of them. It's always better to have a mate. Anyway the other afternoon I was having so much trouble getting Tuppence space to eat I hoyed her onto my lap with Lottie. After all, they're mates, right? And there's plenty for everyone! Not according to Tuppence! For the first time ever I saw her peck another chicken & that chicken was Lottie! Lottie took off in disgust & Tuppence settled down for a pig out. :hmm

@Shadrach, the wet feed seems to be working a treat & Tuppence seems to prefer it to the dry. I haven't noticed an increase in the amount they are eating or a reduction in water intake but it is summer & it is pretty hot.
