Ribh's D'Coopage

Yes , that makes sense. You did "poke and prod" when you gave her first aid Shad, but I suppose the difference is that she is very used to you and she got to stay with her tribe.
Hmmmm, it bears thinking about. 🤔
It's true. I did prod and poke her, but not until she had settled with her family for the night.:p
If they go to roost after an attack their stress levels are much reduced. I've had a few that sisn't go to roost after an attack and didn't show up until the next morning.:( Not good for them and very stressful for me. Dink for example stayed out all night in the damp and cold with a talon rip across her back 4 inches long, not to mention the other minor wounds. How she survived is beyond me. I searched for hours but couldn't find her.

With our fire ban temporarily lifted we are taking full advantage burning off all the house timber.
So far it's taken 3 full days & we are still going. :(

The girls are pretty cool about the fire going ~ though last night they seemed reluctant to roost with all that orange glow & smoke about.

How long before the work is finished Ribh?

@Ribh I'm so sorry to hear of your condition! I was wondering where you had been. I hope you heal quickly.
All good. I'm just a woos about needles. And the heat has been awful the last few days. Both the chooks & I have been unhappy.
