Oh bummer on the rain! Talk about the one thing that slows everything down ... those are nice colors! I am awful at choosing colors... actually.. I’m getting a little better.
Oh, I cannot wait to see your new gals!! ... so exciting!!
I went to pick up my order but the hardware cloth was not in yet... but did get the farm fencing for the extra yard... so we will have to wait too... hubs is glad cuz he wants to go fishing so he might be doing that this weekend... so that means another whole week and a half will go by before we finish
Finished painting though... I’ll post a pic..

Well, we sooo need the rain I am not going to grizzle about it but I am not a patient waiter. I want to be out there painting now I have paint!

Yep ~ seems to be the way of things but a quiet day's fishing will make getting your coop done all the sweeter! Excited to see pics. It's great to see everyone's hopes & plans coming to fruition.

lol Yeah, I've been talking about more chickens since our last lot died off ~ 10 years ago. The man really wasn't keen but there's too much competition in the garden. And he's done a great job on the coop for me.

The funny is we got our paint samples home & he goes: I didn't know they were green. They looked blue in the shop. And every so often he looks @ them & goes, you sure they're not blue...? They're not.

My hubs gets orange and purple mixed up...... he KNOWS which color is which but when he goes to say a specific color... orange.. purple comes out or vice versa! One of my boys does the same thing... very bizarre...

The man keeps referring to it as the Seaside Mansion Coop For Spoilt Chickens. lol I keep thinking we have to look @ it for a very looong time!

You need to take that phrase and make it into a little sign for the coop, to go with the motifs! I had a little “plaque” I did with a wood burner and some scrap for our “Fence of Domestic Discord, est. 2015” and every coop needs a name!

I had an embarrassing moment like that at work once, a co-worker (supervisor level) charged some turmeric as ginger, and I teased him about it, “how can you miss that it’s bright orange?!?” Turns out he was completely color blind, and no one there knew except the head manager in the dept. I was apologizing to him for the whole day and felt awful, but all of a sudden a lot of his idiosyncrasies made sense... he didn’t read all the plu’s because he didn’t know them, but because he couldn’t see the color differences in the items to tell a Granny Smith apple from a red delicious. My uncle is also color blind, so you would think I would be more aware!

Haha! I love it! It’s so funny you say that cuz I was just thinking to make a sign for mine and call it “THE CHICK~INN” ... although I know that’s not very original... but it seems to fit!
