Ribh's D'Coopage

No rodents. Not even guinea pigs. Rabbits are illegal in our State. Not much freaks me out in the wildlife department. We had a carpet snake living in our roof for years :) & hubby had a pet roo [as in kangaroo] as a kid. Cousins had wallabies. My brothers had a salt water fish tank & I've seen sharks & seahorses hatch ~ & the never ending saga of the blue ring octupi. Man, can those things squeeze through minute gaps!
Oh, the life! :love :bow

WhoDat you'll love this... We were having a customer appreciation day (aka cook out) after business was done. We had 100 lbs of craw fish swimming around in kiddie pools when the customer arrived. He asked what they were for, and just stared at me when I told him lunch. But once taught how to eat them, we was in love with them. BTW, I'm one of those guys who'll throw a hand full of salt in the kiddie pool to help clean them out before they go in the pot.
Oh yay!! You got to enjoy some craw daddies!! :celebrate

Well I tried to be kind, but my purse/car mouse is back! I’m going to put traps in the car and clean out the excess farm type stuff. :hmm We had a movie night last night, and the little bugger sampled a little of everything we brought back home, then promptly forgot about and left in the car overnight. Twizzlers, crackers, chips, chocolate bars, chocolate wafer cookies, and some cheese.

Sounds tasty!
Girl, I’d have me some dead mouse if it messed with ma candy!! Dats fo sho!!!
And you are my kinda girl... that’s how I go to the movies .. goodies galore!!!

Without TV, so we try to arrange a “movie night” down at the loft (we bought a proper 42” TV and a cheap BluRay/DVD player for the building about a year ago. When we can get schedules together we watch a movie together... so we had a cheese plate, ice cream, and candy... also we can have a beer while we watch the kid movies ;)

The little girl that lives here, was here for the weekend (Separated parents) and she saw our candy box when she was up visiting to look at the chicks and the goose eggs, and suggested we bring it down. DH didn’t put the some of it back in the box before we left and just had it loose in the car with the leftover cheese and crackers... evil little rodent! Last time I caught it in a bucket in the car by accident, but I think it’s time to escalate to permanent measures, at least all the Halloween chocolate bars were safe!

This morning we had some more Trespassers, Grass thieves! I really need to get a gun for up here... even if my mom “won’t eat goat” (we can hide it in spaghetti sauce, hamburger helper, and chili, and she can’t tell the difference)

The horns on them makes me a little hesitant to get too close, but clearly they have decided I’m not a real threat... I need to fix that, as they have moved down to the far side of that field... but didn’t really take off even though I was yelling at them and pointing a stick in their direction.

Oh wow! Is that wild goats? And yall eat them!?

Okay, so I let a few of them in with the middles... first Maryn.. she did fine... only when one got too close a couple of times did she peck! Then Claire who has been asserting herself lately went after them :rant... Claire is trying to move up from the bottom... well, Kelly was next and she did exactly as I expected.. nothing at all.. now she walked up to the middles and Mak pecked Kelly!!... Kelly walked away... then a little later Mak bucked up to her and this time Kelly did it back and that was enough.. what a sweet girl.. but I fear it won’t be long till Kelly is at the bottom of these gals too..:hmm...
Isn’t it funny how the ones on the bottom are fine down there and the ones on top are just fine where they are but the ones in the middle are the ones pecking away at each other! :barnie
Here’s some pics.. Maryn (BA).. Claire (Barnevelder).. and Kelly (EE)...

lol So many of my overseas friends think our wildlife is either *cute* or absolutely deadly. Best to work with absolutely deadly. Sadly John's roo grew from a cute little joey into an amorous *Big Red* with intentions on his mother's honour. Used to chase her round the clothes line. He took a one way trip to the zoo, which is better than it could have been.

I see someone keeping a cassowary in Florida was killed by the bird this week. What were they thinking keeping one @ all? They're not a domesticated bird .And they're huge. And they have this massive head bonker thing. And killer feet. Keeping one is a bit like ignoring the sign that says Don't swim with the sharks.

I love your pictures! The tractor looks amazing & it's so interesting looking @ different trees to gums! :)

Yeah, wild goats are a real pest. Do you have lots or just little groups here & there?
