My eldest writes fiction, my youngest likes bookbinding as well as costume making and I have dabbled in beading and stained glass and am currently wet and dry felting. I've tried knitting and crochet but could never really get the hang of it.

I wish I had a better camera... last year we had an unusual experience where we could actually see some of the Northern Lights here. Usually you need to be far further north to observe them. I can’t get nighttime pictures very well at all.

Youngest saw a stall selling arm knit scarves at a local festival and wanted to try it

I've got it now. I actually had to look this up when you 1st mentioned it & scarves were what I found in ribbon thread. Very pretty.

Ok, now I'm feeling old Mine are 37 and 38. Eldest grandson will be 22 in September, youngest grand daughter is almost 4.

We're good to trot for a good few years yet, Bob. My eldest is 36 & my oldest grandchild is about to turn 3. I only feel about 15 ~ except for 1st thing in the morning before I'm oiled & greased & last thing @ night when the old battery needs powering up!

I will be sure to share when I get there. I have @ least one more project promised then I can move on to this. I was chatting with the girl about it & she's so rapt ~ which I find rather funny.
One of the things I did with both girls when we were schooling was homecraft: sewing, crochet [I can't knit; I just can't get my head around it], cooking ~ that sort of thing & I opened a Lincraft account in youngest's name because she was very crafty. She has dysgraphia so most of her projects got abandoned but the funny is she was up @ my mum's hassling for Mum to make her an afghan [she's not proud!] & mum kept putting her off [she's 85 & finally starting to slow down] so the girl decided she would make her own & took herself off to Lincraft to buy the materials. What a well used account, the salesgirl commented. My girl about died on the spot before she twigged! I should ask for the wool she bought. Not sure how far she got before she remembered how much this hurt!
