Ribh's D'Coopage

Gorgeous view @Ribh

I segregated Janet at bedtime for a few nights and I think it helped. She was hopping mad, but at least it gave Sandy and Mary some peace. After dark, I moved Janet out of isolation and onto the roost. She went right back to sleep and at least they were all snug and woke up together.

How are the birds today? How's Pepper?

I put worming liquid in their water yesterday. I'm glad that's over for a while. I kept popping out to make sure they hadn't run out of water! I'm an Anxious Chook Mum. :D

Tsuki still feels the need to chase everyone around, but at least they are having peaceful sleep. I will keep her separated at bed time a while longer I think. If she wants to hog the whole perch she can have one of her very own... in the naughty corner!

Pepper is lonely (but safe) in her own little coop and run inside the big run so she can see and interact with the big girls without being pecked. I had her out with them a couple of times today while I was supervising and she stayed on the edges of the group. The others would usually (but not always!) drive her off if she got too close.

Here she is doing a "Lion King" audition. :D

When I went to lock them up just now Tsuki and Deana were in Pepper's coop and I couldn't find Pepper anywhere!.

She had somehow manged to fly/climb to the top of the Chinese lantern bush and was roosting there. :hmm

I had to play "musical coops " with everyone to get them where I wanted. Then I noticed some blood on one of my hands. I started checking everyone until I saw an oozing scratch on my other hand... oh, it was me... :p

The drama of being a Chook Mum :jumpy

I'm waiting another few weeks but it's on my *to Do* Spring list. I hate having to worm ~ but better safe than sorry!

I had a Wyandotte bantam [the kids called sneaky] who liked to roost on top of the Jacaranda ~ where I couldn't reach her! :(

Good evening folks :frow

Just beautiful view.

Bob, that was a wonderful pic and the convo between you and WhoDat had me rolling :lau
