Beautiful
Beautiful

You're welcome.Thanks MJ
She had an enormous, long poo dag hanging off her butt , gluing her feathers together which I didn't see properly until I examined her. Her skin looked irritated and red and I had to snip off some of the feathers where it wasn't washing away. It smelled evilbut the skin wasn't broken.
I checked up her vent but there was no egg this time. I gave her a squirt of lubricant just in case and she had some meal worms for being such a good girl
I washed Tsuki's butt too for good measure but there was only a little poo. The others looked pretty clean but they wouldn't let me catch them for a closer examination!
Can you tell I'm feeling paranoid?
I'll have a word with my chicken dude at the saddlery when I go to pick up feed next week.
Thanks everyone for your concern, support and suggestions.
Thanks Ribh for the use of your thread .![]()

The GD is @ a lovely stage; sleeps a lot & never talks back.
Lottie is easy to catch & never a fusser but Tuppence...!!! Mad. Seriously. She sees me coming & heads off on a circuit around the fence. If she sees I have diverted to deal with her sisters she waits before doing this funny little 1/2 run to stay just ahead of me. Inevitably we end up @ the back of the run where Tuppence can be easily backed into a corner from the right angle. She could, if she wanted, make a further dash for freedom by hopping into the garden bed & heading round the coop but she never does. She lets me corner her, then squats. This, the shyest, most timid, flightiest of all the birds I own then does this as I tuck her firmly under my arm. She completely relaxes & as I stroke her neck her lids close & she is never in any hurry to open them again. She just snoozes in under my arm, perfectly content while I clamber awkwardly back up the hill to deposit her in the run ~ though I admit to occasionally sitting in a chair for a few minutes & cuddling my girl. She considered hopping in my lap last night for her dinner but in the end it was too scary & Lottie always gets miffed if anyone else tries to join in on her special status.
