Ribh's D'Coopage

I switched from portrait to landscape & you tube will not flip it for me

@Ribh you should be able to rotate it on your phone first if you need to. Maybe I can help if you give me more details around what happened.

You're probably right to go Shad. I did the flip after I'd started filming & I can't fix that. So long as you stay in the mode you start in You tube copes. It's when you change your mind or realise you're not filming the way you meant to that problems occur. I should have stopped & begun again but I have trouble with new technology & am still learning how to use this phone. Perhaps I should actually read the manual...?:idunno

Edit the film into two pieces. Cut it where you rotated the phone. Just up load 2 files. I edit films all the time on my Samsung.

I can rotate on my phone but it uploads the old way & I can't figure out how to snip it. I don't think it's worth the trouble, Bob. I shall just redo when I get a chance. I had an editing thing on my old computer which was brilliant & sorted out these issues but I have no idea what I was using or where to find it. I just need to be more careful what I'm doing in the future. Thanks for the suggestion. I thought it might work. :)

This morning's treat time. Salad scraps & toast crusts.

That was wonderful. I love the way they fold the spinach and suck it in without every letting it touch the ground. What a nice start to your day. They are chatty though. Lol

And this was a *quietish* morning. When the favorelles & the Campines start screaming @ each other the noise is unbelievable! And they all want to talk to me @ the same time!:lau I'm heading out to clean the coop so no doubt I will get another earful. :D

Just in case you wish to do it in the future.

Go to galley and select the video. You should see this option. Select the pencil.

Then select the scissors.

That will bring up the snipper. Slide the white bar to where you want to cut either from the right or the left and then save. It always maintains the original for you.

@Grammy60 the IPhone 8plus it’s pretty user friendly... and the camera is quite decent. That’s what I have (I like the big screen for reading with our e-reader account and looking at all the lovely chook pictures and sunsets ;)!) I have trouble with low light shots and remembering to video in landscape mode, but everything else is pretty intuitive. I like the tapping to set the focus/lighting... very helpful when you’re shooting into tight spaces to show you actually put all the required re-bar in your forms.

You will probably want to disengage the Live Photo thing though. It will automatically turn it on unless you disable that in the settings menu. That took me ages to figure out.

This is a much more peaceful roosting event than last night's fiasco. I arrived a little later but the same 3 girls as last night were all still outside. Lottie is usually first to roost. She likes that left hand corner. Tuppence is often beside her. They are my lowest ranking hens. Luna will often 1/2 spread her wings for lower ranking hens to shelter under if there's a lot of pecking going on. She is such a stable influence in the flock! And Lavender always carries on like a raving lunatic ~ though she got herself up & settled with far less fuss & bother than usual.
