Ribh's D'Coopage

They did take their sweet time didn't they? Seemed pretty organized overall though.
:thumbsup
I can't get over the variety of sounds they make. It's like a girls sleepover. Everyone gets very chatty. And Lavender & Soda had already gone to roost once but when no~one joined them they came back downstairs & repeated the performance.

Good morning folks!!

My Stanley is finally crowing! He's the lowest ranking roo in his flock, so it's taken him some time. I'm so happy to hear all 5 of my boys in the morning!
Congratulations! I love a rooster's crow. :)

@Ribh I have 2 broody girls right now. I guess they figured it's better to have a friend to brood with! They have 4 eggs between them, I need to candle tonight to see where we are with things. I bought these girls from the same breeder and they have apparently always gone broody together.

I must say: rather you than me! :) I am over broodies. I much prefer to get my girls @ POL. How will chicks do going into your winter?

The phrase "like a bunch of clucking hens" comes from somewhere.

No~one was in a hurry to go to bed tonight.
It was almost dark & they were still dithering.

Mine pushed the boat out at bedtime too last night! Little monkeys. At one point Blossom said hi and caused an unnecessary panic involving sudden sprinting from Janet and Sandy and alarm-clucking from Mary. It was only Blossom, who usually gets chased away by the hens!

Mine are funny about the cats. :) They totally ignore Marlow, who is the world's biggest sloth, but any time Kirby shows his face the alarm call goes out & everyone watches him until he slinks away!

I'll bring them inside if I have too. My silkie girls are such sweethearts that I don't mind them being in the house. They will still bring up the babies, I won't remove that chicks from them.

Oh gosh! I feel for you. If it helps, I'm always frumped out. I can't wear clothes so they look good on me @ all!:lau I love pretty things but it doesn't matter, I always look like I'm tied together with string & leaking out the edges.:gig

Loved this description Ribh :gig I often feel this way too ;)
